M. Arteta: "This is a huge moment for the Arsenal club"

The head coach of London’s Arsenal club, Mikel Arteta, commented on the tense match against Lisbon’s Sporting and reaching the Champions League semifinals:

"We are not perfect, we acknowledge that, but the work the players have done is valuable.

My message was gratitude for their efforts and work. We had to do it in a special way, without many important players.”

"We accomplished many things that are important to achieve a result. It matters how the competition is held, and that is needed in the fight for titles.”

"This is a massive moment for us. Being part of these four teams is great work. It is a wonderful evening.

I am very happy for all the club people. We are taking steps that have not been taken in this club for even 140 years.”

London’s Arsenal club defeated the Sporting team with an overall score of 1:0.

The Gunners will meet with Madrid’s Atletico team in the semifinals.
