The German national team did not advance to the round of 16 in their third consecutive World Cup.

This time in the tournament's round of 16, the Germans lost to Paraguay after a penalty shootout, and such a performance raised many questions about coach Julian Nagelsmann's future.

Although the coach himself claimed once again after the defeat to Paraguay that he is ready to continue his work, it is most likely that his journey with the German national team will come to an end.

Interestingly, one of the greatest coaches in German history might take J. Nagelsmann's place.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Jürgen Klopp is interested in this position, as he has not been a head coach for two seasons since his time at Liverpool.

However, another journalist Florian Plettenberg adds that first and foremost, the German Football Association still has to make a decision regarding J. Nagelsmann's future, but it is reported that the coach will most likely be let go.
