The Italian national football team rehabilitated itself after an unsuccessful start in the UEFA Nations League.

Roberto Mancini's pupils in the A division Group 1 match away demolished the Turkish footballers with a score of 4:1 (3:0).

The guests struck in the very first half.

In the ninth minute, A. Bastoni scored from a corner, and in the 22nd minute, D. Frattesi doubled the Italians' advantage.

Another blow was dealt to the hosts by M. Kayode, who scored the third goal for the Italian national team in the 37th minute.

For the defender, it was his debut match for the national team.

After the break, the Turks tried to bring back the intrigue – in the 47th minute, B. Yilmaz reduced the score.

However, just three minutes later, F. Esposito restored the three-goal lead and solidified Italy's confident victory.

Interestingly, in the starting lineup of the Italian national team, for the first time in over a century, two brothers appeared together – Francesco Pio and Sebastiano Esposito.

In the first round of the Nations League, the Italians lost 0:2 at home to Belgium, while the Turkish national team lost 0:1 to France.
