In the match between Israel and Ireland in the Nations League, there was no shortage of passion, despite the action taking place on neutral ground – Hungary.

With a confrontational attitude, the Irish completely disregarded the Israeli players on the field and ultimately won confidently 3-0. There were provocations both on and off the field.

After the match, Manor Solomon, who did not shake hands with the Irish captain, said: "I’m not interested in them. We have a country that is ten times better than theirs – a stronger, amazing country with wonderful people.

We are very proud to wear the team jerseys and to be Jews. We take pride in our country and our soldiers, while the Irish can continue to use their tricks...”
