On the last day of the summer player transfer window, Manchester City shook the football market by signing midfielder Enzo Fernández from London Chelsea for a sum of £125 million.

However, according to the English press, the "citizens" may face considerable challenges with their new acquisition in the future.

In Manchester, the midfielder will again work with strategist Enzo Maresca, who previously mentored him at Chelsea.

However, Manchester City will need to ensure that the Argentine remains motivated and focused in the long term.

Enzo Fernández arrived at Chelsea in 2023 for a then-record fee of £106 million, but there have been numerous discussions about a potential exit since then.

It was reported that the player wanted to move to Real Madrid, but the Spanish club did not attempt to acquire him this summer.

Manchester City will also have to learn to manage Enzo Fernández's emotions.

The midfielder has found himself in various situations, and in the final of the 2026 World Cup against the Spaniards, he was sent off the field.
