In the World Cup, Canada crushed Qatar 6:0, but the joy of one of the hosts of the sports fiesta was significantly overshadowed by a horrific player injury.

In the 51st minute of the meeting, Qatar's midfielder Assil Omer Madibo committed a brutal foul against opponent Ismaël Koné.
