The head coach of the Argentina national team, Lionel Scaloni, briefly traded football for cycling and participated in the traditional "Gran Fondo de Buenos Aires" race.
The 129-kilometer distance was completed by the world vice-champions' strategist in 3 hours, 17 minutes, and 21 seconds.
Although Scaloni did not have much time to prepare due to the recent matches of the Argentina national team, he completed the distance without any problems.
"With a bit of experience, you can ride behind other cyclists and save energy," he said.
"I have participated in races being in better physical shape, but I wanted to enjoy the city without cars. It was really great," Scaloni stated.
