UEFA confirmed that it received documents from the Madrid "Real" club. There are confirmed taxes for the former vice president of the Spanish referees association, José María Enríquez Negreira from "Barcelona".
In 2023, an investigation was first initiated regarding this case, but it ultimately led nowhere.
It is said that "Barcelona" may have been paying the vice president of the referees association from 2001 to 2018.
This is yet another investigation related to the well-known football coach Pep Guardiola, who managed "Manchester City" during their misconduct period and "Barcelona" during the time of the Negreira case.
