‘Žalgiris’ message on social media sparked discussions among fans

The Vilnius "Žalgiris" team decided to not overlook the successful performance of their compatriots in the basketball tournament.

After yesterday's victory of the capital's "Rytas" club in the Czech Republic and their advancement to the FIBA Champions League Final Four, the A League club posted on social media:

"The Vilnius "Žalgiris" football club congratulates BC RYTAS, Vilnius basketball club, for making it to the FIBA Champions League Final Four. More victories for Vilnius!"

This post sparked considerable discussions among the football club's fans, who in recent seasons have often conflicted with the "black, white, and red" supporters and even got into fights at times.

"Žalgiris" has mentioned "Rytas" for the second time this year in their comments - earlier the football team tried to strictly compare the attendance of both clubs, and later apologized for their post.
