The Vilnius "Žalgiris" team is struggling to gain good sporting form.
The capital club is stumbling in the A league, and yesterday in the LFF Cup tournament managed to sensationally lose 1:2 to Mažeikiai "Atmosfera" team.
After the experienced fiasco, harsh messages from "Žalgiris" fans flooded social networks, but one of them presented an interesting solution to the problem.
"A loss is not the same as a loss. In the last 6 matches, "Žalgiris" has not achieved a single victory. But let's see who defended the honor of the Vilnius club: against "TransInvest" there were 10 legionnaires, against "Hegelmann" - 9, against "Kauno Žalgiris" - 9, against "Riteriai" - 9, against "Banga" - 8, against "Atmosfera" - 8.
What does this mean? That there are purchased or leftover from last year's very low-level legionnaires who are taking up spots of Lithuanians for no reason.
As I spoke with other fans, I wouldn’t be so upset if at least a few of them were kicked out and then we would have a chance to see our promising Lithuanians come in. The criticism would disappear because everyone would understand that the future of the national team is being developed. Losses wouldn’t be so painful," wrote Tomas, whose suggestion was met with approval.
