Žalgiris clinched a point in Šiauliai at a crucial moment.

A stubborn and fluctuating battle between Vilnius "Žalgiris" and FA "Šiauliai" took place in the Sun City. In the 24th round of the "TOPsport A league," the teams coached by Vladimir Čeburino and Dainius Kazakevičius shared the points – the match ended with a score of 2:2 (1:1).

In the early phase of the match, Gustas Baliutavičius had work to do when Kevin Lukaševičius shot after a turn following Ovidijus Verbickas's pass. However, the young player managed to score in the 10th minute when he put his team ahead with an accurate shot after a great pass from Bruno Tavares into the penalty area.

Midway through the half, O. Verbickas found the excellently penetrating Liviu Antal, but Nojus Stankevičius and G. Baliutavičius's efforts allowed the Vilnius team to only settle for a corner. Just a couple of moments later, the score equalized – Marko Mandičius made a pass into the penalty area, Karolis Žebrauskas let the ball go, and the accurate Milanas Džokičius sent it into the net.

As the added referee time in the first half was ticking down, Eligijus Jankauskas took a corner, and during the confusion, the Žalgiris players could only defend by clearing the ball from the goal line. In the 50th minute, the team from Sun City took the lead when M. Džokičius found Eligijus Jankauskas, who sent the ball into the rectangle while sliding.

In the 68th minute, the black and yellows transitioned to a quick counterattack near the goal – Carlos Olsesas was forced to defend against Gabriel Micevičius's raid, and just moments later, against Nojus Stankevičius’s header. In the 90th minute, the green and whites restored their advantage when Luka Dumančičius scored after Nemanja Mihajlović’s corner.

After a combative draw, "Šiauliai" now has 36 points and remains in 4th place in the standings, while "Žalgiris," with 32 points, is in 8th place.
