X. Alonso: 'Rodrygo did not play against PSG due to technical reasons'

After the elimination in the World Club Cup, Real Madrid's head coach Xabi Alonso commented on the decision not to put winger Rodrygo on the pitch:

"Rodrygo did not play against PSG for technical reasons.

We thought that we should play with other players in this match. This is not related to the Brazilian's future."

Rodrygo may leave Real Madrid this summer, and London’s Arsenal is interested in him.

The 24-year-old Rodrygo has been playing for Real Madrid since 2019 and has scored 68 goals in 270 matches.

In the previous season, the winger scored 14 goals in 54 matches.
