World Championship Qualifier: Lithuania – Poland (live match) © lff.lt

The Lithuanian national team will try to slam the door in the World Cup qualifying Group G.

Representatives of our country, having already lost even the theoretical chance to take at least second place among the five teams, will clash with the Polish team in Kaunas on Sunday evening.

The match will be broadcast live on LRT "Plius" channel at 21:45 (link).

Although Poland and Finland currently have the same number of points in the group matches, according to coach E. Jankauskas, the Poles stand out for their individual skills.

"I would say that the Polish team is a bit stronger in individual players – more footballers play in elite leagues, but when it comes to athleticism, physical desire, and creating pressure, I think Finland has a slightly different style.

They press more, seek physical contact, while Polish footballers, since they are of the highest skill level, prefer to play intense football and are individually strong. In one aspect, the Polish team is stronger, but when it comes to athleticism, I think Finnish players definitely surpass Poland, and the proof of that was the Finnish victory at home against the Poles."
