Vilnius' Žalgiris boasted about the record viewership numbers for the qualifiers on television.

This year, Lithuanian television is once again broadcasting European football, in which Lithuanian clubs are participating. The Vilnius "Žalgiris" club is particularly pleased with the viewing results of the qualifying matches.

Vilnius "Žalgiris" had great television audience attention for their first home match of this season's UEFA Europa Conference League, and the upcoming match in Georgia will be broadcast by TV3 television.

On July 16, at home, the Žalgiris players played the return leg of the first qualifying round against the Montenegrin club "Petrovac." Žalgiris won 2:1, defeating the Montenegrin club with an aggregate score of 5:2 and advancing to the next stage of the competition.

The broadcast of the match from Vilnius was watched by 198 thousand viewers, with an audience share of 12.5% and a rating of 2.4%. This is a record, the highest television rating for a Lithuanian football team's match in the last five years.

Before the match, TV3 aired a special live show "Green and White Studio." The broadcast achieved a rating of 2.3%.

The return matches of the UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying round with "Petrovac" were also watched by full stands – all tickets were sold out.

"In the first UEFA match of this season in Vilnius, the spectators filled the stadium, and there was an exceptional atmosphere. The ticket sales indicate that more people want to see Žalgiris' battles than those who fit in the stadium, as well as football fans all over Lithuania," said Žalgiris president Andrius Tapinas.

Television viewers will be able to continue following Žalgiris's journey in the UEFA Europa Conference League. The TV3 media group has reached an agreement regarding the broadcast of the second qualifying round match with Tbilisi's "Dinamo" from Georgia.

The match will take place on Thursday, July 23, in Tbilisi, with kick-off at 8 PM Lithuanian time. The match will be broadcast by TV3 television and the portal TV3.lt.

Before the match, TV3 will also show a documentary "Vilnius Žalgiris. Turning Point Years," telling the story of the dramatic 2025 season.
