Victory – Statement: 'Kaunas Žalgiris' Dominates 'Vilnius Žalgiris' at Home

In the "TOPsport A League," Vilnius "Žalgiris" suffered their biggest defeat this year. In the 12th round, the Vilnius team had to acknowledge the superiority of "Kauno Žalgiris" with a score of 0:3.

The Kaunas team quickly took the initiative and twice hit the crossbar after shots from Temur Čogadze and Romualdas Jansonas. In the 23rd minute, "Kauno Žalgiris" launched a beautiful attack, during which Fabien Ourega found R. Janson in the penalty area, who scored his 6th goal.

Shortly after, Carlos Olsesas saved one shot, but three minutes later, after an unsuccessful continuation of the attack, following T. Čogadze's attempt, the ball ricocheted and went into the net. Before the break, the hosts were dangerous in counterattacks but did not capitalize on their chances.

In the second half, the situation on the green pitch did not change. The Kaunas team confidently controlled the situation and solidified the overwhelming result with a goal in the 57th minute scored by Dejan Georgijevičius.
