The new London "Arsenal" club forward Viktor Gyokeres did not hide his joy at joining this team:

"I can't wait to score goals at the "Emirates" stadium in front of all the fans, wearing these shirts and the logo... I truly can't wait."

"I just felt that this is the right team for me. What I heard from Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berto when I spoke with them and what I saw over the past few years... It is special."

"I also watched how they play football. When I played against the "Arsenal" team last season with "Sporting", I really felt that this is a strong club and it was very hard for us to compete against them. That’s why I chose the "Gunners" team."

27-year-old Viktor Gyokeres played 102 matches and scored 97 goals at Lisbon's "Sporting" club over two seasons.

In his new team, he will play for five years.
