V. Benkunskas: "A comprehensive audit will be conducted at 'Žalgiris'"

As the Vilnius "Žalgiris" team changes owners, the mayor of the capital, Valdas Benkunskas, promises that the team will become the "club of all Vilnians."

In a social network, the official wrote:

"Good news for Vilnius – 'Žalgiris' is turning a new page. I see the club as one of the historical symbols and values of Vilnius."

It must be a club for all Vilnians, not a tool for someone to pursue personal gain.

Even more new decisions await at the shareholders' meeting, which will take place on Monday – it is proposed to change the statutes, create a new representative structure, and conduct a thorough audit of the institution. The time for change has come!”

The share of "Žalgiris" from Vilma Venslovaitienė and Mindaugas Nikoličius is being purchased by Tadas Burgaila, the founder of "Kilo."
