UEFA has decided to recognize Slovakia's right to call itself the champion of the Old Continent after a 49-year break.

Czechoslovakia, which defeated all its opponents at the football festival in 1976, is now recognized to share the title with both the Czechs and Slovaks.

The Spaniards have triumphed the most in the championships (4 times), with the Germans trying to catch up (3).
