London's "Tottenham" will be without one of its leaders, James Maddison, for almost the entire season.

The Englishman suffered an injury in a friendly match, which, as revealed on Thursday, is extremely severe.

The club itself announced that the central midfielder has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and will undergo surgery.
