At the very beginning of autumn, coach Erik ten Hag received unwelcome news – he was dismissed from Bayer Leverkusen.
As reported by Bild, the Dutchman quickly "annoyed" the team and its administration.
During the first weeks of working at Bayer, the coach was sidelined from important matters and decision-making. E. ten Hag did not back down and began to complain to the media, thereby damaging the club's reputation.
The players were also dissatisfied with the strategist; for example, before the first Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim, the coach decided not to give a motivational speech in the locker room.
He failed to convey his thoughts to the players, and the training sessions were particularly lengthy.
Long-time club members stated that E. ten Hag is the worst coach in the last 15–20 years.
However, the dismissed strategist will not be too sad – his bank account will receive a compensation of as much as 6 million euros.
