The national stadium project has a growing chance to break the cursed cycle.

Last week, the Mayor of Vilnius, Valdas Benkunskas, announced fantastic news for football fans – the European Commission sent positive conclusions regarding the upcoming grand construction projects.

Meanwhile, Lithuania's Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas states he plans to meet with the capital's leader to discuss the forthcoming government financial contribution.

It has already been announced that the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sport plans to allocate about 60 million euros for the construction of the arena.

The total cost of the National Stadium will be 155.15 million euros and it must be completed within 31 months from the commencement of the contract with the contractor.
