The Lithuanian national men's football team played a friendly match in Kaunas on Thursday.
The team, coached by Edgaras Jankauskas, faced the Israeli players and the match ended in a 0:0 draw (0:0).
In the FIFA rankings, Lithuania is in 146th place, while Israel is in 78th place.
On Saturday, the national team will depart for the Netherlands, where on Monday they will complete their appearance in the World Cup qualifying tournament.
The match on Thursday began with an active play from both teams. The Lithuanian team launched several promising attacks, but failed to score. After one corner, Tomas Kalinauskas couldn't reach the ball, and Gvido Gineitis' shot sailed past the goal.
After the break, things continued similarly; both teams made substitutions but remained active and created attacks. However, they lacked precision, and at times, the goalkeepers of both teams performed well.
Until the end of the match, no team managed to score, so the clash ended in a draw.
