The 'Knights' secured an important point against 'Sūduva'

The 30th round of the Lithuanian Football A League, supported by "TOPsport," continued in the capital, where local "Riteriai" met Marijampolė's "Sūduva." In a muddy match, neither team scored, and the game ended in a draw 0:0.

There was not much action in the first half – the home team spent most of the time on defense and did it quite successfully. The Sūduva team came closest to scoring when, after a ball was thrown in from the sideline into the visitors' penalty area, confusion arose, but the ball rolled past the goal. The "Riteriai" team made several sharp passes into the penalty area, but goalkeeper Ignas Plūkas had little work to do.

After the break, Donatas Vencevičius’ students launched a nice attack - Sidy Sanokho's pass found Henry Uzochukwu, but his shot was saved by Antonio Tuta.

In the remaining time, the Marijampolės team controlled the ball longer, but they did not create many threatening attacks in the opponent's half. H. Uzochukwu and Steve Lawson both tried their luck once.

With the draw, the "Riteriai" have 18 points and sit in ninth place, while "Sūduva" has 51 points and is in third position.
