Experienced coach Jorge Sampaoli was on the verge of becoming the coach of the Morocco men's national team.

However, the 65-year-old Argentine failed to receive the crucial approval.

It is reported that J. Sampaoli's candidacy did not please the country's king Mohammed VI, who ordered to hand over the team's helm to U20 team coach Mohamed Quahbi.

The Morocco national team had to find a new specialist after Walid Regragui stepped down from his position.
