The Lithuanian futsal champion "Kauno Žalgiris” has acquired its final newcomer ahead of the upcoming season. From now on, the green-and-white jerseys will be worn by Brazilian Joao Vitor.

The 20-year-old player shared that his main motivation for joining "Kauno Žalgiris” was the desire to gain international experience and test himself abroad.

"I chose this team because of the club's tradition of victories. I am happy to join a team that has a strong history. This is a new opportunity for me to test myself in an international team, and playing abroad has always been my dream,” Joao spoke about joining the team.

The player began his career in his native Brazil, where he represented the clubs "Umuarama” and "Ceara.” According to the newcomer, he hopes to reveal his strengths in Kaunas while also focusing a lot on defensive play.

"I am very competitive; I always want to win. My main qualities are ball retention and the ability to be a good teammate. I enjoy helping the team both on and off the field. My goal this season is to have a strong season and give my all in every match,” Joao said.
