The FK "Kauno Žalgiris," which became the Lithuanian football champion, has begun the squad assembly work for the upcoming season and has retained one of the key players from the golden season – Fabien Ourega.

With two rounds remaining until the end of the season, the country's champions reached an agreement with the defender that will keep the player in Kaunas for the 2026 season.

Before the start of the 2025 season, F. Ourega, who became a member of "Kauno Žalgiris," played 40 matches in all competitions, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists.

"Fabien is a true professional whose experience and skills have been invaluable to us this year. We see that he can be useful next year as well, so retaining him was one of our first tasks," said the club’s sports director Darius Šinkūnas.

In the near future, the Lithuanian champions will announce more news regarding the squad for the upcoming season.
