The head coach of the England national team, Thomas Tuchel, has announced the squad for the March international window.
After a five-year absence, forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin has returned. The Englishman scored 10 goals in this season's Premier League.
Meanwhile, midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has not been included for the first time since September 2024.
T. Tuchel commented on his decision before the friendly matches:
"We decided to split the team into two camps.
To invite players we haven’t seen in the national team for a long time and those who haven’t played much to broaden our perspective.
We aim to encourage competition among players and motivate them to compete for a ticket to the World Cup in the USA.”
