Former long-time Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos compared the management methods of Hansi Flick and the "royal" club:

"With Hansi Flick, many players would be left out of matches due to tardiness - we have also seen this several times with the Barcelona team. In the Real team, they would laugh at that.

Many times, you wouldn't even know who was late - the player or the coach. There are simply different philosophies. Both are important, but we can say that H. Flick's philosophy is more structured and traditional.
