Supported by a large crowd, 'Sūduva' defeated 'Hegelmann'

In the 27th round of the "TOPsport" supported Lithuanian Football A League, "Sūduva", backed by a large crowd, faced "Hegelmann". Darius Stankevičius' goal at the end of the match secured a victory for the Sūduva team with a score of 2:1 (1:1).

The first threat at the Marijampolė team's goal arose in the 6th minute when Rasheed Yusuf, receiving a pass, acrobatically struck the ball just wide of the goal. Shortly after, a shot attempted by Sūduva midfielder Kotos Sakurai was blocked by defenders.

The 36th minute was marked by the first goal – Nauris Petkevičius lifted the ball into the penalty area, which was directed into the goal by Sidy Sanokho.

During the referee's additional time in the first half, Patrick Popescu restored the balance with a wonderful long-range shot.

At the end of the match, "Sūduva's" counterattack was crowned with a goal. Stewas Lawson found Darius Stankevičius, who had just come on as a substitute, with a pass, and he put the Marijampolė team ahead.

The blue and whites remain in second place with 50 points, while Sūduva has 45 points and sits in third place.
