In the 25th round of the Lithuanian Football A League supported by "TOPsport," local team "Sūduva" faced Gargždai's "Banga." Demonstrating character, Donatas Vencevičius's students celebrated a victory with a score of 2:1 (0:1).

During the first 15 minutes, "Sūduva" players were significantly more active. Although they couldn’t create serious chances, the Marijampolė team dangerously delivered the ball to the guests’ penalty area several times.

In the 20th minute, the first goal of the match was scored – Maksimas Andrejevas made an excellent run down the left flank, and after his pass, Sherwin Sheedorf found the net.

Shortly after the break, the Sūduva team launched a productive attack. After a cross pass, Nauris Petkevičius failed to properly connect with the ball, and Amaras Haidara, who was first to the ball, restored the balance.

Not long after, the teams exchanged strikes – Amadou Sabo, who appeared on the pitch in the first half, tested the vigilance of goalkeeper Mantas Bertašius, while in the Gargždai ranks, M. Andrejevas responded with an attempt.

The active play of "Sūduva" was marked in the 74th minute when the second goal was scored by the Marijampolė players. A. Haidara, who scored with a precise shot, this time delivered an assist, sending the ball into the net was forward Lucky Tomas.

After the victory, "Sūduva" has 36 points in their account and remains in 3rd place in the standings, while "Banga" occupies the 8th position with 28 points.
