The neighbors in the tournament table met in Raudondvaris, where in the 18th round of the "TOPsport A League," Kaunas district's "Hegelmann" faced Marijampole's "Sūduva." The Marijampole team, demonstrating excellent defense and playing confidently in attack at the right moments, celebrated victory with a score of 2:0 (1:0).

At the start of the match, the home team launched a great attack during a set piece when Artem Ščedras found Rasheed Yusuf in the penalty area, but the latter's attempt went straight into Ignas Plūkas. In the 20th minute, Henry Uzochukwu shot from afar; however, the ball whistled past the goal thanks to a deflection. Half an hour into the game, the most dangerous guest episode up to that point was created by Steve Lawson - his attempt from outside the penalty area was very close to scoring.

In the 39th minute, a goal was scored in Vincent Šarkauskas' goal when Kota Sakurai broke through on the right wing and sent the ball into the penalty area, where Franklin Tangiri, who had made a great run and was left unmarked by the opponents, skillfully beat the rival goalkeeper with one touch. In the 60th minute, Sidy Sanokho provoked a foul by Jonathan Mulder in the penalty area, and standing at the 11-meter mark, S. Lawson did not miss and doubled the score.

As the match was coming to an end, V. Šarkauskas reacted to Darius Stankevičius's kicked ball, while on the other side of the field, Njoya Abdelas Kaderas failed to capitalize on his chance from a good position - Lazaro Kojičius's shot with his left foot rattled the goalpost.

Following the 18th round of the "TOPsport A League," "Sūduva" caught up with "Hegelmann," both teams having collected 34 points, with a 6-point deficit from the leader "Kauno Žalgiris."
