In the "TOPsport" sponsored Lithuanian Football A League, Marijampolė's "Sūduva" celebrated an important victory. In the match of the 29th round, the visitors from Marijampolė won 1:0 against Gargždai's "Banga".

David Afonso's team started the match somewhat successfully, controlling the ball for a longer time, but conceded a goal in the 14th minute. After an unsuccessful play in their own half, the visitors launched an attack that resulted in a goal by Nauris Petkevčius.

However, "Sūduva" could have quickly conceded a goal. Sherwin Seedorf, who played actively throughout the match, took a shot on target, but Ignas Plūkas, returning to the starting lineup, saved the team.

After the break, the visitors paid more attention to defense and neutralized all of the opponents' attacks.
