"Sevilla” finds itself once again where it was a few seasons ago – in the fight for survival in Spain's top football division.
This situation-averse Sevilla team has undertaken changes – head coach Matías Almeyda has been dismissed.
Journalist Gonzalo Tortosa, who announced this decision, adds that "Sevilla” is negotiating with more than one coach regarding the vacant position.
M. Almeyda had been in charge of this team since the beginning of the season. Initially, there were some impressive victories, such as a 4:1 triumph against "Barcelona,” but as the season progressed, the team's form sharply declined.
The final straw was the loss to "Valencia” at home (0:2).
