This season's "El Clasico" matches have been truly exceptional.

All four matches, which can confidently be called the biggest in the world, ended with "Barcelona" victories over Madrid's "Real".

This is an event that has not been seen for a very long time. One can tell just by the fact that this season, two "Barcelona" victories over "Real" players have made it into the top ten biggest wins in the history of this matchup. In that top ten, there are no two victories from the same season.

In the first "El Clasico" match of the season, which took place in the La Liga championship, the Catalans were stronger with a score of 4:0.

The second match determined trophies – in the "Barcelona" Super Cup final, they crushed their principal rivals 5:2 in a chaotic match.

Given the rise of "Barcelona's" attacking trio and a new era under Hansi Flick, the excitement surrounding "El Clasico" this season was something we haven't seen in a long time. For this reason, a significant number of sports fans indeed watched the third "El Clasico" match of the season, which took place in the Copa del Rey final.

After extra time, in a magnificent final, "Barca" once again overcame "Real" – 3:2.

The last match of the season was also important. The Madrid club still had hope in the battle for the La Liga title, but even a stunning "hat-trick" from Kylian Mbappe could not save them from defeat, which crushed their hopes in the Spanish championship – the result was 4:3 in favor of the Catalans.

A new era will begin in the "Real" team. A season without titles forced Florentino Perez to make changes. Carlo Ancelotti was replaced by Xabi Alonso in the head coach's chair, several very interesting players are coming to the team, and the first picture will be seen very soon – at the World Club Championship.

Changes in the Madrid club did not happen for no reason – they want revenge and to be stronger. But seeing the direction "Barcelona" is heading, they certainly will not weaken either, so next season's "El Clasico" could reach another, higher level.
