Newcastle United has extended the contract with Sandro Tonali.

BBC reports that the 25-year-old Italian has signed a new contract that will be valid until the summer of 2029, with an option to extend it for another season.

It is added that the player himself agreed to a slightly lower salary as a way of thanking the club for its support during his suspension for involvement in betting.

This season, S. Tonali has already provided two assists in 10 matches.
