In the first half, neither team created a threatening situation. A shot from "Riteriai" representative Deimantas Rimpa was blocked, and Isaacas Asante directed the ball at the goalkeeper.

In the 51st minute, the visitors had a good chance to take the lead – Andrius Kaulinis found Armandas Šveistrys in the penalty area, whose attempt was thwarted by Vytautas Černiauskas. On the other side of the pitch, the Panevėžys players were threatening during set pieces.
