The Madrid "Real" team was unsuccessful in hunting for high-profile players in the market.
As previously reported, the Spaniards tried to persuade London "Chelsea" club to sell midfielder Enzo Fernández.
"La Liga" representatives hoped that the world champion would become Toni Kroos's successor.
However, according to the "Daily Mail", the "Blues" did not take long to consider "Real" offers. The English team even refused to name how much they valued E. Fernández and stopped the talks.
The London club has indicated that they envision the player becoming the team's leader and captain in the future.
