Rubeno Amorim's future at Manchester United hangs by a thread.
The "Red Devils" strategist firmly spoke about the club's situation and stagnation in the transfer market after Sunday's draw with Leeds United.
"I came to this club not just to be a coach, but also to contribute to the team’s shaping. I clearly communicated this to the club's leaders.
I am not planning to step down. I will work here until another coach comes and replaces me," said R. Amorim.
"Every department must do its job. I will do my job for the next 18 months, and then we can part ways," added R. Amorim.
Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that such statements from the strategist have angered certain club officials, particularly Director of Football Jason Wilcox.
It is added that R. Amorim's relationship with J. Wilcox has been strained for some time, and this could cost the Portuguese his job.
