Brazil returned to training after a seven-month break.
The 22-year-old defender suffered a knee injury last September, but is now ready to train hard and fight for a place in the main squad of Catalonia's super club.
It is expected that T.Motta will be fully recovered in two weeks, which would be a big boost for Barcelona as they compete for the Spanish champions' title.
"This is very good news," Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard rejoiced. "Now we need all possible players."
