Michael Carrick took over the helm of Manchester United in the middle of last season and managed to lead the team to the UEFA Champions League.
This performance earned the Englishman a new contract, and he remained at the helm of the Red Devils.
During the summer, Man Utd added three midfielders: Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Carlos Baleba; despite this, the club's fans did not spare criticism towards the management for a rather sluggish transfer window.
Still, Carrick himself is convinced that the team has strengthened over the summer and that the transfer window was quite successful for them.
"I believe we managed to sign some very good players and strengthened the team both individually and as a collective.
I feel that after this transfer window, we became a better team.
Transfer windows are never easy. League clubs spend a lot of money, but I think we did a good job given our current situation.
We are a very good team, but there is always a desire to be even better," Sky Sports quotes Carrick.
