Official: C. Romero moves from Tottenham to Atletico

Cristian Romero, after spending five years in London, is changing clubs.

It has been officially announced that C. Romero has joined the ranks of Atletico Madrid.

The transfer fee that Tottenham will receive is reported to be 40 million euros, including bonuses.

C. Romero became the Player of the Season in the Europa League when in 2025 he fought for the Europa League trophy with Tottenham, ending a 17-year title drought.

Tottenham will also bid farewell to Djed Spence, who is on his way to the Milan Inter team.
