Real Madrid has started to seriously consider the potential arrival of Rodri.

Journalists Mario Cortegana and David Ornstein from The Athletic report that Real has begun working on Rodri's arrival at the royal club.

Real has not yet started official negotiations with Manchester City, but the first processes should begin soon.

Meanwhile, the Citizens are not currently open to Rodri's departure. They hope that the best World Cup player will remain in England – with or without a new contract.

Rodri's current contract is valid until the end of next season.
