Manuel Neuer closes the door for the German national football team for the second time.

After an unsuccessful World Cup round of 16, it has been officially confirmed that these were M. Neuer's last matches with the national team.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper played 128 matches representing the German national team.

The most memorable achievement was in 2014 when M. Neuer and his team became world champions.

The Bayern goalkeeper returned to the national team only for this championship. Prior to that, he had also announced his retirement.
