UEFA announced good news regarding recovery breaks © Alamy

UEFA is not planning to follow FIFA's example and, as coach Jürgen Klopp stated, disrupt the flow of the matches.

The football organization of the Old Continent has no plans to introduce 3-minute hydration breaks in the near future.

The use of cooling and hydration breaks is defined in our regulations.

UEFA has no plans to change the rules for the Champions League tournament and the 2028 European Championship,” the organization informed.

The breaks currently used in the World Cup have faced huge criticism - specialists call them not so much assistance to the players, but rather a desire to sell advertising time to FIFA sponsors.
