The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team's striker Edin Džeko did not hide his joy after the victory against the Italians and qualifying for the World Cup:

"I keep saying that it must have been fate for all of this to happen in the final moments of the match, and then I couldn't take the penalty kick.

Someone else stepped in for me on the field, scored a goal, and we won."

"Everyone was relieved about my hand situation, as it is not the worst-case scenario.

It is most likely that I will not need surgery. Therefore, I hope to return in a month or a month and a half."

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team only competed in the World Cup once, in 2014.

This tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19.
