The Madrid "Real" team will need to look for other potential newcomers.

As reported by "Bild," the 26-year-old German Nico Schlotterbeck, lured by the Spaniards, has decided to extend his contract with the Dortmund "Borussia" team.

The new agreement will last until the summer of 2031 and will guarantee the player an annual salary of 14 million euros.

However, a buyout option of 60 million euros will open in the summer of 2027.

The player's current contract with "Borussia" was valid until next summer, and several teams, including "Real," were hoping to acquire N. Schlotterbeck at a favorable price next offseason.
