The Madrid "Atletico" club has returned after a long time.

In the "Matrasų" team, former player David Villa will work.

The Spaniard has become a board member.

Villa played for "Atleti" in the 2013-14 season, scoring 15 goals and becoming a "La Liga" champion.

The former forward expressed joy about returning after more than a decade break:

"I am very happy to return to this club in a new role.

At the same time, I want to help Madrid "Atletico" team every season to become even better.

This club has experienced great growth in recent years, and I hope to contribute to its continued success.

I am very grateful that they decided to appoint me as a board member."

The "Atletico" club defeated "Tottenham" with a score of 5:2 in the Champions League Round of 16.

They also reached the "Copa del Rey" final last week, defeating "Barcelona" in the semifinals with an aggregate score of 4:3.

Villa played for "Barca" from 2010 to 2013 during his career.
