D. Solanke: 'We have looked very good in the Champions League so far' © ZUMAPRESS.com

London's Tottenham club forward Dominic Solanke after losing 2:5 to Madrid's Atletico team commented to the sports publication Sky Sports about numerous unfavorable circumstances in the first half of the match:

"Of course, the first twenty minutes were tough. A lot of unpleasant circumstances happened that occur once in a million cases.

You never prepare for that. We prepared all week for this game, we had our plan and then rare things happen.”

"Overall, we try to see the positive things. We know that we have other matches coming up in London.

This season we looked very good in the Champions League, but we know that in the last meeting we weren't good enough.

It's hard to name one specific thing. I think we need to be better in every third of the pitch.

We are trying to stay positive so that we can change everything.”

The return match will take place on Wednesday in London.

London's Tottenham club is in 16th place in the English championship with 29 points, and they are only a few points away from the relegation zone.

28-year-old Dominic Solanke has scored 6 goals in 15 matches this season.
