Last season's UEFA Champions League finalists, Milan's "Inter," were left out of the round of 16.
The Italian giants had to acknowledge the superiority of the Norwegian upstarts "Bodo/Glimt" in the round of 16 series, who won both of the knockout matches.
After the match, "Inter's" coach Cristian Chivu admitted that the opponents were worthy of advancing.
"We know that the competition in the Champions League is enormous. The teams playing at this stage have already proven to be of the highest level.
"Bodo/Glimt” have shown this season more than once that they are a great team. They proved it in matches against "Borussia,” "Atletico,” "Manchester City,” and now against us as well.
We could have played better both in Norway and at home. We gave it our all, but this time it didn’t work out for us. That’s football,” said C. Chivu.
