This weekend, racism was more alive than ever in the English Premier League.
This issue was faced by London Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana, Wolves player Tolu Arokodare, Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri, and Sunderland player Romaine Mundle.
The head of the UK football police division stated that an investigation will be conducted:
"There is no place for racist abuse here, both online and in person.
Anyone who thinks they can hide behind a screen and write whatever they want should think again.”
"We are confident that with the help of our team and responsible individuals, we will do everything to find these individuals and punish them.”
Wesley Fofana and Hannibal Mejbri shared photos where they received racist taunts.
There is still talk of the racism scandal that occurred last Tuesday during the matches between Lisbon's Benfica and Real Madrid.
